Marcel Proust wrote these words close to a hundred years ago. He understood the essence of creativity as well as coaching.
Creativity is defined as the ability to create. Coaching creates an environment that allows the coachee through the application of both critical thinking skills and emotional desires create a new status quo. For the reality is the landscape has not changed.
The same people are present. The same problems exist. The same attitudes and habits endure. No, the landscape does not change.
What can change and what the coach changes is the client’s perception to that same landscape.
